WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE—IGOR TOADIE

Anyone who followed our adventures last time will remember that I do not like toad fish! They are big, ugly and poisonous and everyone throws them back resulting in an over-population of the species. As a Libran I strive for balance in this world and have tried to reduce the toad fish population at every opportunity. I usually use the aid of a very long stainless steel skewer to puncture the body of the toad fish so it dies when released back into the water.

Well at Garry’s anchorage on Fraser Island I finally met my match. I hooked the biggest toadie I have ever seen. It was grotesque. For the purposes of this story I will name him Igor (it could only have been male!). I decided Igor’s days of harassing harmless fisher people were over. I grabbed my trusty sharp skewer and tried in vain to puncture his skin. It didn’t matter how hard I stabbed his skin it was so thick it just wouldn’t penetrate.
