in the sunlight all around us, and festooned every available tree branch and shrub, making it look as if the plants were bursting forth in multi-coloured blooms. A little pocket of paradise hidden away that only walkers will find. |

The walk turned out to be a little more strenuous than I had thought. Fortunately the collection of knee, hip, back and foot aches didn’t last long. Besides, with sunsets like this, it isn’t long before you feel no pain. The Keppels is a hard place to leave. |

PORT CLINTON—BUG-ER!! |

31 MAY to 4 JUNE 2011. Another perfect sailing day with offshore south-west winds finally winkled us out of the Keppels. We left before dawn to give us plenty of time to cover the 52 miles to Port Clinton and be anchored well before dark – one of the disadvantages of winter sailing is the short days.
