EXTRACT FROM SURVEY REPORT Conducted at Scarborough Marina on 28 October 2005, by Captain R. Ballantyne of Universal Pacific Shipping Co. Ltd: Checked all under floor areas and frames. Longitudinal frames checked for distortion, rust and general damage. No defects were found. Rudder post and allied steering components, autopilot installation, sea inlets and overboard valves, tail shaft coupling and P.S.S. seal, engine mountings and general engine room found to be in first class condition with no defects found. Stainless steel is used throughout this vessel and the standard of construction and fitout is probably the best you could ever hope to find in a vessel of this size. All safety equipment is up to Solas standard along with its electronics including Cmap computer installation. On deck, stainless steel is used for all deck fittings and rigging. No expense has been spared. Once again this vessel has been crafted to a very high standard. Hull was high-pressure washed down and inspected. No defects in hull, propeller or rudder were found. In conclusion this vessel has been very well crafted and is in excellent condition all round. I have no hesitation in presenting this vessel for comprehensive insurance. This vessel would stand any inspection. Captain R. Ballantyne |

FULL SURVEY REPORT—MARCH 2009 This is the survey that we had done when we bought Masala back. In the report you will find the comment “...the topsides of the vessel have dulled slightly.” When we bought her back she was simply in need of a bit of polish. This has since been done.
