How many EK Rights remain available in the Club?

One at the moment.

How do I become a member?

The first step is to fill in and return the Expression of Interest document you can download from the Even Keels website.

Do I have to have experience?

Experience is preferred. Your level of experience will determine where you can take the boat during exclusive access until such time as your classification is upgraded. See “member’s classifications” on page 4.

Do I need to have a boat licence?

Yes. You must hold a current boat licence from any state in Australia to become a member.

What if I want to resign? Do I get any money back?

A member may resign by giving one month’s notice in writing to the Secretary. The membership fee (“Share subscription”) paid in by the new member who replaces you is used to pay back your membership fee. See the Scheme Synopsis for more details. You may also be entitled to a pro-rata refund of the annual and depreciation subscriptions.

What happens to my membership if I die?

It is treated as a resignation, except that the refund will be paid to your estate.

What boat does the club own? Has it ever been chartered?

The club owns a lovely 2009 Fountaine Pajot Lavezzi 40 Owner’s Version. It has never been chartered.

Does the club boat have osmosis?

No. And it is not likely to since the hull below the waterline is epoxy, the most resistant of all resins to water penetration.
